Hard Water Restoration

Don't replace your glass—restore it. We remove stubborn calcium deposits and sprinkler stains that standard cleaning can't touch.

The "White Haze" Problem

Standard window cleaning removes dirt. But those white spots on your glass are actually minerals (calcium and magnesium) from Nebraska's hard water bonded to the glass pores. Scrubbing with soap will not remove them.

Our Restoration Process

  • Chemical Treatment: We use professional acidic cleaners designed to dissolve mineral bonds without damaging the glass.
  • Mechanical Buffing: We use fine-grade steel wool or specialized pads to gently lift the deposits off the surface.
  • Sealing (Optional): We can apply a hydrophobic sealant to prevent future mineral buildup.

Restoration vs. Cleaning

Important information about what to expect from this service.

Glass Etching Disclaimer

If hard water sits on glass for years, the minerals can actually eat into the glass (etching). Our process removes the minerals, but we cannot repair the glass underneath if it has been permanently etched.

Chemical Safety

Because we use stronger acidic cleaners for this process, we require pets and children to be kept away from the immediate work area while chemicals are being applied and rinsed.

Common Questions

Is this included in a regular window cleaning?

No. Hard water removal is a specialized restoration service that takes significantly more time and materials than a standard clean. It is priced separately.

Can you guarantee all spots will be removed?

We can remove the mineral deposits sitting on top of the glass. However, if the glass itself is etched (physically damaged) by the minerals, a hazy appearance may remain. We will assess a test spot before proceeding.
